In 2012, police launched an investigation into high-profile British entertainers accused of historic sex crimes. Operation Yewtree spawned numerous further investigations all over the country. In total, 26 men were arrested – but only 10 were convicted. Ten years on, three key figures who were accused but were either never charged or not convicted - popstar Sir Cliff Richard, radio DJ Paul Gambaccini, and former Pop-Idol judge and radio DJ Neil Fox – tell their story. Each of them experienced trial by media at the time, with the press reporting on their stories before police completed their investigations. What was the impact on them and their families? And was it worth it, when weighed against the greater good?
